Went to Ganapati foods for the first time today and it was a great pleasant surprise. Chole bhature were fresh and yummy and the owner was so nice and kind. We were blown away by their hospitality and kindness. We will surely be coming again!

It's just a bigger hole in the wall kind of Indian vegetarian restaurant with great foods but a bit shabby interior and even slower service. The food menu is comprised of typical north Indian snacks and sweets, though they have a decent thaali too. All the items are freshly made, and you may not get all the things on the menu in any day. All the fried snacks are freshly fried and taste just excellent! Above all the people running the shop are extremely cordial though their English is a bit messy! But if you don't mind that and just the food, this is the place to go. And there are ample parking places in the lot.

Small Place, limited seating. Pure Vegetarian Restaurant. (Cash Preferred) There was one person working behind the counter, a bit slow service. He seemed to be the owner, nice guy. I ordered chole. It comes with 1 bhature, I though one bhature wouldn't be enough but when it came out saw that its a good size and was enough. The chole was 2.5 stars out 5, giving 5 star for the service.

Don't let the appearance fool you. This places serves authentic Indian food. Great place to cater from or order take out from. They make everything fresh and the taste has us reminiscing of India. Truly a hidden gem in MoCo

Love their samosas and dosa. Really very very flavorful. a small hard-to-find gem. We are planing to go back and try their Indian sweets. . They are a bit slow and don’t always have everything on the menu. Actually I have been there several times. They don’t seems to serve dosa anymore.

We have done take outs a few times. Every time it felt like visiting a store in India, warm gestures of the cashier uncle, forgotten flavors, and fresh snacks made to order. They take a bit longer but it worth the wait. Highly recommend samosas, bundi, and mixveg pakoras.

First time dining in and had a great experience! We usually order to go (malai kofta, palak paneer, dal makhani, and ofc their samosas!!), but noticed the menu was different for dine in and wanted to try it. The food was incredible- homey, well spiced, and perfectly fried. They do such a great job at balancing flavors and making fried food crispy and not greasy. The owner/worker was so kind to us as always! Here's what we got: 1) Chole bhature- incredible chickpeas and crispy fluffy bhature. This was def the best thing we got! 2) Samosa chaat- you can't come here without getting their samosas. They are the best, large and well seasoned. This came with the chole (my fave!)and was very filling 3) Vada pav- super tasty fried potato ball with green chutney in a bun 4) Gobi paratha- finely minced and delicate cauliflower in a paratha! It was so impressive how much cauliflower was in here without the paratha ripping. 5) Masala chai- made fresh to order! He told us how other places pre make chai and fridge it, but he makes it fresh to order. It was so good and not as spiced as you would think. Loved the warmth and delicate flavor Come with the expectation to wait a little more than a usual restaurant, but it will be worth it because everything tastes homemade and masterful. Don't be intimidated! They have an English menu and the owner understands English pretty well. Def check it out and show them some love with dine in or takeout! This type of authentic hole in the wall is hard to find and very treasured by the community- in the hour we dined in, we saw almost 10 different parties calling in catering orders, dining in, or picking up takeout orders. You can tell how respected and well loved this place is; it's a gem of MoCo for sure!

Really nice small shop in Rockville. Fresh and tasty indian food. The staff is so nice and homely. Authentic indian food! Very reasonable prices as well. It's not a fancy joint, but really nice food and service. Will be visiting here frequently. There is a 6% fee for credit cards, so you may want to carry cash! Completely vegetarian and plenty of parking available. It's probably my new fav spot!
